I did not buy the Tesway X5 AWD dual motor long range electrical bike for weekend fun. I bought it because I needed a way to keep working.

After more than 15,000 miles of delivery riding, rough roads, bad weather, heavy loads, and daily use, this bike has become one of the most reliable vehicles I have ever owned.

Why I Needed the Tesway X5 AWD

Gig work has been my main source of income for over a year. At first, I bought a vehicle so I could do Spark deliveries. About two months later, water got into the engine, and the vehicle became unusable.

I did not have the money to repair it or replace it.

I had to find another way to keep earning. The only credit line I had available was through Affirm, and Amazon was the most realistic place for me to use it. Since Spark was no longer an option without a car, I started looking at other delivery platforms.

That was when I learned DoorDash allowed deliveries by bicycle, electric bike, motorcycle, and scooter.

That search led me to the Tesway X5 AWD.

My First Issue and Tesway’s Support

I ordered the bike toward the end of July 2025 and received it in August. After assembling it, I had a problem right away.

The bike powered on, but the throttle did not respond. The issue came from defective brake sensors.

I contacted Tesway and worked through the problem with their support team. They sent replacement brakes free of charge. While waiting for the parts, I also learned how to temporarily bypass the issue so I could start using the bike.

That early support gave me confidence in the company. The bike had a problem, but Tesway helped me solve it instead of leaving me stuck.

I Put Over 15,000 Miles on It

Once the bike was working, I started using it for DoorDash deliveries, where an electric bike for food delivery needs real range, strong brakes, and enough power for daily stop and go riding.

This bike has not had an easy life. I weighed around 265 lbs when I first got it, and I am now just under 250 lbs. Add delivery bags, food orders, drinks, groceries, bad roads, rain, traffic, and long shifts, and the bike has been under real pressure almost every day.

That is where choosing an electric bike for heavy riders really matters.

The Tesway X5 AWD has a 350 lbs max load capacity, which made a big difference for me. I never felt like I was asking too much from the bike. The strong non-foldable frame feels solid, and the larger build gives it a heavy-duty feel that fits real daily use.

This is not a light city bike. It feels like a serious transportation tool.

The Bike Feels Big, Stable, and Strong

The Tesway X5 AWD is big.

It is not the kind of e-bike you want to carry upstairs every day. If you need to lift it often, you should know that before buying.

For me, the size has been a strength. The bike feels planted on the road. When I ride in traffic, carry delivery orders, or cross rough pavement, the weight and frame give me more confidence.

The step thru frame also makes it easier to get on and off, which matters when I am doing deliveries. I stop often, pick up orders, drop them off, and get back on the bike many times during a shift. A lower, easier mount design saves energy over a long day.

The Dual Motor Power Is No Joke

The Tesway X5 AWD is fast and powerful.

With dual 1000W motors and up to 3600W peak power, the bike accelerates hard. It can reach up to 38 mph, and in AWD mode with pedal assist, it moves quickly from a stop.

That matters for delivery work. I deal with stop and go traffic all day, and quick acceleration helps me move through city streets more smoothly.

The bike also produces up to 200N·m of torque, which helps when climbing hills, carrying weight, or riding through rough areas. It does not feel weak under a heavier rider. Even with my weight and delivery load, the bike still feels responsive.

AWD Makes Daily Riding Easier

The AWD system is one of my favorite parts of the bike.

Delivery riding is not always smooth. I ride over broken pavement, uneven roads, wet streets, and rough surfaces. Having power from both wheels gives the bike better traction and a stronger feel.

It feels more capable than a standard commuter e-bike.

The 20" x 4.0" Kenda fat tires also help. They give the bike more stability and grip across different surfaces. The reflective side strips are a nice safety detail too, especially when I ride at night.

The Range Helps Me Keep Working

Range is one of the biggest reasons this bike works for me.

The Tesway X5 AWD uses a 52V 60Ah battery, with up to 200 miles of range under ideal conditions. Real range depends on rider weight, speed, terrain, weather, and assist level, but the large battery gives me more freedom than a smaller commuter bike would.

For delivery work, that matters.

A short range e-bike would limit my shifts. With the X5 AWD, I can ride longer and worry less about running out of battery. The removable battery also makes charging easier, and the 58.8V 8A fast charger helps reduce downtime.

More range means more time working and less time waiting.

Comfort and Braking Matter on Long Shifts

After thousands of miles, comfort is not a small thing.

The Tesway X5 AWD has dual suspension, including a motorcycle-inspired front suspension setup. It helps absorb bumps and road vibration, which makes long riding days easier on my body.

The brakes also feel strong. The bike uses 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 203mm rotors, which gives it solid stopping power. That is important on a heavy, fast e-bike, especially when riding in traffic or going downhill.

I have had to stop quickly more than once, and strong brakes are not optional for this kind of use.

Small Features I Actually Use

Some features sound small until you use the bike every day.

The LCD display is clear and useful. NFC unlocking adds convenience. The built-in USB charging port is helpful when I am out working and need to keep my phone powered.

The motorcycle-style headlight is also important for night riding. It gives the bike a more aggressive look, but more importantly, it helps with visibility.

These details make the bike feel more complete as a daily transportation option.

Final Thoughts

The Tesway X5 AWD has been more than an electric bike for me. It has been my transportation, my work tool, and part of how I stayed afloat.

After 15,000+ miles, I would recommend it to anyone who needs a powerful, long range, and durable electric bike for real daily use.
